Lena is a German-American artist working with improvisation, catharsis, erotics, and site-specific performance, while Mandolin works across dance and film, exploring desire, pageantry, and intimacy. Their work has been presented internationally at venues and institutions including Barnsdall Gallery Theatre, Le Centre National de la Danse (Paris), and Mudhouse Residency in Greece, where they created a large-scale collaborative work last summer. They have also shown work in an artist-run WIP series and have presented 2 evening-length collaborative works titled LOVERS PIECE (2025) and FREE ALL NIGHT LONG (2026) at Highways Performance Space. They spend their time making eachother laugh, watching TV and traveling when they can. They are very in love and just got married this past may, they also have a dog named Sharon, she is from Heaven.
