Chelsea Roquero

CHELSEA ROQUERO (she/her) is a 2nd generation Filipino-American dance artist, choreographer & teacher based in LA. She received her BA in Dance from CSULB (2019). Her movement is generated by her training in gymnastics, hip hop, fashion & contemporary. 

As a dance artist in concert & commercial spaces, she worked with companies like Whyteberg for Ground Grooves TV, Los Angeles Contemporary Dance Company, Invertigo Dance Theatre & Rosanna Gamson World Wide Dance. Additionally, independent choreographers including JM Rodriguez for The Marias, Melissa Schade for Haute & Freddy, James Gregg, Jessie Lee Thorne, Camila Arana, Genna Moroni, & Charissa Kroeger. 

Roquero was recently a WIP resident artist (WIP 19) & was commissioned to co-create an original work for LITVAKDance with creative partner Kaia Makihara. You can find Chelsea most of her days at Stomping Ground L.A., where she is a founding member of the team & the Youth Scholarship Mentor.
